is a retrospective session that allows participants (e.g. trainees) to review prior (training) performance. AAR sessions are not intended to be critical evaluations of performance so much as collaborative meetings held to enhance learning. Ideally, AARs should be conducted to focus on what was planned to occur during training, what actually did occur during training, why events unfolded as they did, and what should be modified during subsequent training or performance sessions.
